4. How to cut a sheath dress according to a finished pattern

Cutting is extremely simple: the fabric is folded in half face to face, the edges are aligned, the patterns are laid out on the fabric in the most economical way, taking into account the shared direction.

Seam allowances - 1 cm, with the exception of the sprout, neck and armholes - no seam allowances are added to these cuts. On the bottom, of course, you need an allowance of 2,5 - 3 cm. Against the tuck for the chest - a "house".

5. How to sew a sheath dress at home

Consider the sewing sequence. In this case, it's unusual. Let's start with sample preparation.

1. Stitch the basting seam of the tuck and the middle seam of the back, lightly iron. In the case of the middle seam, leave 10 cm unstitched on top for a spreader fastener.
2. Baste stitch and iron the side seam and sleeve seam under your arm. Matching sleeve and side seam is NOT required! If the dress is adjacent, then a zipper braid is tacked to the left side seam.
3. Throw in the sleeve.
4. Stitch the "middle" of the sleeve. If the length of the sections does not match, it is better to leave the excess or missing at the bottom of the sleeve.
5. Fitting.
6. Finish the waistband and cuffs.
7. After trying on, the processing repeats the first 5 points of the sequence with permanent seams. Please note that the end of the finished belt should go into the left darts of the shelf and back.
8. Finally, the bottom is processed into a hem with an open cut (overcast and fold once) and the cuffs are sewn.
9. Finishing ironing and decorative buttons.
