Lace on organza: do-it-yourself embroidery and sewing clothes

Organza embroidery is back in fashion. In what only techniques do not embroider on it!

I tried to embroider lace details and used them when sewing a skirt-trousers and a blouse with a batwing sleeve.

For machine embroidery, I took ready-made designs, and cut a skirt-trousers and a blouse according to my own patterns.

In fact, embroidering lace on organza is not difficult, you just need to choose an embroidery design and hoop the fabric well. I put coarse calico under the hoop so that the organza does not slip.

How to use ready-made embroidery is another question

For example, lace blanks for pockets make it very easy to sew a trouser skirt. These pockets only need to be applied and topstitched with a zigzag or two parallel straight stitches.

Pocket designs could be embroidered on water-soluble interlining, but I decided that such pockets were not very reliable and chose the organza option.

As you can see, I processed patch pockets on the back halves of the trouser skirt, and on the front halves the pockets are more complicated - these are stitching sheets, a bit similar to those that are made on the left shelf of a men's classic jacket.

And lace hearts, also embroidered on flesh-colored organza, became elements of embroidery on a blouse made of highly stretchable stretch.

Embroidery on the stitch - this is a blouse shelf - I perform it on a water-soluble non-woven fabric so that the knitwear does not deform under the hoop.

Then, I put hearts in the right places, prick them with pins, stitch them with a narrow zigzag and cut out the fabric from the wrong side.

I decided that I would wash the embroidery already in the finished product, since the cut is very large, more than 3 meters. I don’t want to erase it entirely, cut off a piece - too.

Cutting blouses is very simple, since the patterns of the front and back are very similar - they differ only in the cutout of the sprout and the neck. By the way, the neck of the back is called a sprout.

However, I will also have to widen the sleeve, as the design of my lace cuffs requires a wider sleeve, such as in a classic blouse. Such a cuff can be processed with a slot without a cut.

I make the back with a middle seam - this cut will reduce fabric consumption by 40 cm.
