Dresses and blouses with a "tunic-like" silhouette have been quite popular lately, and in this article I want to present three ready-made patterns for sewing women's clothing models of this style with my own hands.
Tunic - from the Latin tunica, a very ancient type of unisex clothing. It was common in ancient Rome and has not gone out of fashion since then. Combined styles such as dress-tunic, blouse-tunic, tunic-shirt are now fashionable.

1. Dress pattern "tunic-shirt" for sizes from 42 to 62

This model of a straight shirt dress is suitable for all types of figures and builds, as well as for all ages and sizes. The level of complexity of tailoring is medium. The pattern is not suitable for beginner home couturiers, since in the process of sewing a “tunic-shirt” dress, you will have to process a collar on an open neck with a slit and cuffs, also with a slit. For sewing this dress, you can choose both fabrics from the dress assortment and shirts. Main requirements: the fabric must be thin and stable. Stretch and chiffon are not suitable. From denim fabrics, you should choose only the thinnest. The ideal choice is shirt chintz or linen.

2. Pattern of a dress-tunic with a hood and with a smell for sizes from 40 to 54

A-line silhouette allows girls and women with wide hips to use this model of a tunic dress, and the middle seam on the back allows you to make a fairly thin fit on a figure with protruding buttocks.
You will need an overlocker with a knitted seam and a household sewing machine with an adjustable zigzag. The cover stitch can be replaced with a twin needle or elastic decorative stitches.

3. Pattern of a tunic blouse with two types of sleeves and peplum

The pattern provides two types of sleeves with pleats along the rim and peplum with different options for recess and length. The difficulty level of sewing is medium - you will need skills in working with thin fabrics. The pattern is designed for sewing with your own hands on household sewing machines.
The main difficulty, but also the advantage of this style, is the need to try on to clarify the length of the bodice according to height and, based on the characteristics of the figure. But, thanks to the ability to try on, a tunic with such a peplum is suitable for almost any type of figure of various fullness and height, including figures with different sizes of bodice and hips.
