6. How to cut a double-sided hoodie jacket according to a simple ready-made pattern

The cut is very simple and no seam allowances are required, that is, we cut it out, keeping the stroke line.

It is worth mentioning only a fragment of the belt, which is located near the lightning. This is a rectangle. Its width is 8 - 12 cm.

The height of the belt fragment in the cut = 2 widths of the belt in finished form.

Cuff sizes, if the cuffs are regular:

Cuff width = 2 finished widths + 2 cm

Cuff length = Wrist circumference

The same applies to the inner collar:

Inner collar width cut to size = 2 finished widths + 2 cm

Length = neck circumference, that is, the collar is slightly stretched when sewn into the neck.

After cutting, it is necessary to mark the position of the pockets on the shelf

7. How to sew a jacket - do-it-yourself double-sided hoodie on home sewing machines

All stitching is done on an overlocker. knitted stitch It's fast, convenient, and produces strong seams.

But the processing of pockets and sewing cuffs can be done with a straight stitch and a narrow zigzag.

The following is a simplified processing sequence.

1. We start with the processing of the pocket. All proposed pockets are overhead. Volumetric pockets are processed in the same way - first the pocket is assembled, then the pocket is sewn according to the markings that you made after cutting.
2. We process the shoulder seams, the sleeve, we sew the sleeve, the side seams - everything is on the overlock with a knitted seam, and the collar of the sleeve is evenly distributed along the armhole without taking into account the highest point. Another sequence is also possible: shoulder, side, sleeve - in this case, you can try on the jacket and cut the armhole according to the figure, and sew the sleeve in, aligning the highest point of the collar with the shoulder seam.
3. Gather (stitch) the hood.
4. Sew the hood into the neck.
5. Iron the belt and cuffs along the blanks in half, the blanks of the fragment of the belt from the footer, also iron in half. Stitch the cuffs into a “ring”, ironing the seam. Sew the fragments of the belt from the footer to the belt from the dovyaz.
6. Stitch cuffs.
7. Stitch the belt only near the fastener and only its front side.
8. Sew on the zippers and finish sewing on the waistband.
9. Collect the inner side - shoulder, sew in a collar from the dovyaz, sew on a zipper.
10. Attach the inner board in any convenient way - with a regular line or a hidden one.
