The main “difficulty” is the sleeve. This pattern is difficult to place on the fabric, so you have to cut the fabric in one layer (picture 2).

Of course, before cutting it is necessary to determine the length of the dress.

You should also decide if you need a middle back seam. For very thin fabrics, such as batiste, the middle seam is not suitable, since the threads in this seam are likely to be pulled apart.

For large sizes, the middle seam also carries the risk of rapid wear of the product.

On the 2 drawing a compromise cutting option is considered - a back skirt without a seam, and a bodice with a seam.

When deciding whether there will be a seam, remember that a convenient fastener (zipper) can be made along the middle seam of the back.

Patterns on the fabric are laid out in a mirror, therefore, cutting can be done in stages, folding the fabric in half.

We cut out the details on which embroidery is planned with a large margin, but marking their outline.

Let me remind you that the technological allowances for the seams are 1 cm. At the same time, the necks, armholes and hem are an exception - no allowances are added for them.

On the bottom of the dress and sleeves - allowances should correspond to the processing you have chosen.

Do not forget to apply the necessary markings and notches to the parts after cutting.

Usually, notches are made along the middle lines of the parts and along the waist.

Be sure to outline the half-skid and the middle line of the sleeve (with a cushioning seam) to make sure that the product is symmetrical and the sleeve is sewn in correctly.

If pockets are provided, we make notches on the side sections of the skirt. To do this, all four slices are added together. We retreat down from the waist 5 - 7 cm and make the first notch. The second notch is on burlap.

The following is an approximate sewing sequence.

2. If pockets are provided, stitch the burlap to the side seam.

4. We process the shoulder seams and the neck, or vice versa - the neck-sprout, and then the shoulder seams.
5. We process the sleeve.
