6. How to cut a sheath dress with a kimono sleeve according to a finished pattern

Cutting is not difficult. On the 2 drawing sample layouts for details from each fabric are shown.

Allowances for seams 1 cm. The exceptions are as follows: allowances are not added to the neck, along the bottom - 2,5 - 3 cm.

Please note that the grain thread for trim parts should not run along the cuts. Sections must be "oblique" so that they have some elasticity.

Details of strips for slots can be cut out with a share along or across the part. The main thing is that all four parts are cut in the same direction.

Separately, it is worth mentioning the facings for the neck. They are cut out without allowances for seams from dublerin or interlining. After the details of the dress are cut out, dubbing blanks are glued onto the lunges of the fabric. Allowances are added only along the shoulder sections and along the middle ones. At the end, the facings are cut out.

On the middle seam of the back at waist level, on the details of the barrel sleeve - at waist level. These notches are needed for high-quality assembly of the dress.

Other notches are described below, as they will be required during processing.

Strips for sleeve slots, as mentioned earlier, are cut out in the shape of a rectangle.

7. How to sew a combined kimono dress at home - sequence

1. Process the middle seam of the back with a zipper.
2. Iron the details of the trim along the convex edge to the width of the allowance. For the convenience and accuracy of ironing the corner, you can make a template from thick paper.
3. Put the ironed trim details on the shelves and back details, combining the concave corners. Baste, topstitch from the side of the ironed convex corner. Iron.
4. Make notches from the side of the concave corner of the shelf - they are necessary for processing.
5. Stitch the burlap to the shelf, iron it.
6. Stitch the details of the barrel sleeve, overcast, iron.
7. Process the shoulder seams - stitch, overcast, iron.
