In this article, we will consider how to perform modeling of different styles of sleeve models of such a cut:

1. Modeling patterns for classic flashlight sleeves

We start by building the base of a straight sleeve 1/2, 3/4 or full length.
For all the sleeve models described, it is important to start modeling when the length has already been selected.
At the same time, the length you have chosen must necessarily take into account the amount of overlap along the bottom of the “flashlight” and the amount of rim rise, respectively, along the rim.
The amount of overlap in most cases ranges from 3 to 6 cm, and the rise of the eyelet is from zero to 8 cm.
It is very important to understand that when choosing a large eye lift, you need to choose the appropriate extension and make the appropriate sill.
To get a uniform assembly along the okat (picture 1) - the base is cut along the midline and moved apart by the size of the assembly.
The pattern laid in this way on the fabric is outlined.
And, after adding allowances, cut out.
In this case, the assembly should not go under the arm either along the top or along the bottom. An exception is possible only for a long sleeve - a circular assembly is allowed along the bottom.
The classic "flashlight" can also be performed with an opposite warehouse along the fold instead of assembly, although then it will no longer be a "flashlight".
2. Construction and modeling of a flared flashlight sleeve pattern
Flashlight "-flared (picture 2) - is collected only on the bottom.
It can be any length: short, half length and full length.
We cut the pattern of the straight sleeve along the rifts from the bottom to the okat (figure 2a), without cutting 0,2 cm and move apart the “petals” (the same method of cutting the pattern into fragments is used further).
A more complex version with 8 petals is shown in figure 2b.
Despite the similarity, these two versions of the "flashlight" are different.
Note: 2a - the assembly does not reach the seams of the sleeve, i.e. it does not go under the arm, the distances between the petals are uniform and instead of the assembly, opposite warehouses are possible.
Warehouses, if necessary, can be outlined immediately when cutting, spreading the petals on the fabric.
The option shown on figure 2b involves only a circular assembly and a large extension. This flashlight flare is called a "winglet" when left unassembled.
3. How to model a flashlight sleeve pattern with a fluffy podkatnik
No less interesting "flashlight" 3a - this design is suitable for short (1/4) and half length sleeves.
This model requires a lush stiff mesh or nylon underskirt to make the sleeve look full.
The base is divided into eight parts, but the extreme parts are not cut. 
The assembly along the top of the sleeve passes only along the upper rim, that is, it does not go under the arm.
On the bottom, the assembly is circular and, pay attention, the bottom line is curved.
It must be said that this model can be sewn both with assembly and with warehouses, which are outlined when cutting along the borders of the petals.
Now about the "sibling" of the previous "flashlight" (figure 3c).
The same eight parts
the two extremes are not cut.
The spreading is carried out only along the okat (see the photo).
In this case, both warehouses and assembly along the upper arm of the sleeve are possible.
The unmodeled okat line can be raised by 2-5 cm, and the higher the rise, the more magnificent the podkatnik.
In conclusion, consider a flared sleeve-flashlight (figure 3b), modeled on a long base or "three quarters".
The base of the chosen length is cut into nine parts: a strip 3–4 cm wide is cut from the side of the okat, and the rest of the sleeve is cut into “petals”.
The spreading of the petals can be any, but the wider it is, the more beautiful the “flashlight” The circular assembly can be replaced by warehouses that are outlined along the border of the petals.
If you leave the sleeve without assembly, you get a beautiful flare.
