The user enters his size and the robot “takes shape” and is suitable for trying on stretch products.
This process is shown in numerous commercials that are replete with the Internet today.
But buyers visiting virtual clothing stores with similar fitting rooms will not be shown all the transformations, they will only see a photo of the product they are interested in, on a figure recreated by the robot according to the given dimensions.
Mannequin robots were first created for men, but this year ladies' "machines" appeared that can change the volume and height of the chest, and, if necessary, simulate pregnancy.
FitBot consists of movable panels that can change their position, creating a wide variety of sizes and able to cope with the recreation of asymmetric shapes.
According to the developers, the robot FitBot able to adapt to 85% of female figures.
It is reported that with the use of a manikin robot, the number of sales increased by 57%.
But behind the scenes, the question remained whether there is a future for this wonderful invention in individual tailoring.
It is possible that FitBot or one of its varieties will soon be used in the studio.
Currently, the robot mannequin marches victoriously across Europe and bewildered tailors sometimes mistake it for an ordinary sliding mannequin.
