The very first step in learning the cutting technique is learning the technique. taking measurements.

The vast majority of beginners simply ignore this point.

And you need to know the measurements so that "they fly off the teeth."

What is important is the sequence of taking measurements, the sequence of recording and, of course, thoroughness.

And only when this process is mastered, you can proceed to the drawings.

When I taught, I “terrorized” students by taking measurements for three months. Therefore, when they "put measurements on paper" everything turned out easily and simply.

Maybe you went the "easy way" and inadvertently missed the introductory lesson?

Step two - scale drawings. Start making drawings at a scale of 4:1.

There is such a tailor's ruler, in it 1 cm is divided into 4. The drawing is placed on a landscape sheet.

Start with a small drawing of the base of the blouse.

Build it several times for different people, but on a small scale.

Students often start with large drawings, but human perception is designed in such a way that "the big is seen at a distance", that is, if you see a small object, you understand it better.

As a first product, I recommend straight skirt (pencil skirt).
